Ken (ケン, Ken) is a citizen of Karakura Town. He is a Human and the boyfriend of Haruko.
Appearance
Ken in a fat young man with short black hair and small black eyes. He is round-cheeked and has protruding ears. He is wearing a yellow polo shirt and a blue jean.
Personality
Ken is a gourmand man as he loves eating Haruko's dishes. He is also unsupportive as he doubt his girlfriend Haruko’s experiences and abandons her, but he is later shown regretful, looking for her and worrying after she left.
Plot
After his girlfriend Haruko arrives home she cooks Ken dinner while he is playing video games on their TV. After eating, she tells him she witnessed someone flying through the air with a black kimono (Ichigo Kurosaki in his Shinigami form). Ken then decides to break up with her because he feels disturbed that she talks about people nobody sees and talks to people who aren't there.[1]
But as Haruko left the house, Ken becomes to worry and starts looking for her. While walking in the street he run into The Tapeworm Hollow that has just been kicked and thrown down the hillside by Kon. The Hollow takes possession of his body in order to lure Haruko. While controlling Ken's body, the Hollow meets Kon and Haruko and starts apologizing for his behavior, which makes Haruko come closer to hug him and allows the Hollow to possess her.[1]
After Kon defeats the Hollow, Ken apologizes to Haruko. She initially refuse as she wants to starts a new relation with Ichigo. But after their memory has been erased by Rukia, Ken and Haruko don't remember anything and decide to come back to their house as if nothing happened.[1]
